Ukraine Update

Since the Russian invasion of Ukraine, Chad and Mary have so far been able to distribute 300 tonnes of food, with most of their efforts focused on conflict zones. They have been able to send over 240 vans and trucks to these areas to help over 100,000 people in the warzone.   However, with the current pace of help needed they will be running out of supplies at the end of this week. This is not because they don’t have access to food and supplies, but because they are running out of funds.   Chad and Mary recognize that they are not the ones who are driving the train. God already provided 1.5 million dollars to help 100,000 people so far. But the train is not slowing down, and your help is still necessary.   The need for food is huge. At this point, it is extremely difficult for the volunteers to get the food and supplies to the warzone areas. An example of the risk that drivers are willing to take is that one driver is not able to get out of the community, because the bridge was bombed.

Ukraine Update

The update Chad and Mary can give is a huge and positive one. They were able to purchase 51,000 jars of canned meat, which is extremely difficult to get. Normally it will take three months, but they were able to get it within two weeks. Moreover, when they heard about what Chad and Mary are doing, they gave them a discount on the jars, which is substantial. The canned meat will provide along with other staples for around two and a half days’ worth of food.  In addition to that, they also purchased 200 tons of potatoes, and they are allowed to keep the potatoes in the cold storage room of the sellers, so they won’t be damaging the potatoes. They can send their trucks directly from there. So, that have been two big purchases this week.    Tomorrow, some people Chad and Mary know from the east with a disabled girl are leaving to drive all the way to The Netherlands. That will be their last refugees to go. They are still waiting for some more to come in, but they never know when that’s goi

Ukraine Update

Update about the past weekend. Chad and Mary and their team were able to send five 21-ton trucks to the two conflict zones Sumy and Zaporozhye. Another update they were able to give is that they have distributed over 200 tonnes of food, which have been distributed by 20 trucks and 180 sprinter vans across the country. According to Chad, it is just crazy what this team has been able to do in such a short period of time.    This week they will focus on getting more food and necessities, to be able to help more refugees. The help is still needed, as many refugees are still passing through the local churches and Chad and Mary’s house in need of help.

Ukraine Update

Today’s update. Chad and Mary were able to catch a bit of a breather. But there are still refugees leaving the country. There are a whole bunch of different realities for people. Today there was a couple, the woman has advanced cancer, and she needs to get to her family in New York. We made arrangements to get them to Vienna, to get them onto the plane to New York.   In terms of getting supplies they had a massive day today. Two trucks with 42 tons go to Sumy, which is right along the border of Russia. Another truck goes to Zaparozhye, the area where the nuclear power plant was taken over by the Russians.   Chad tells us that it’s still incredible the amount of things that are happening.   Today Mary was preparing two houses for around 18 refugees to live, they needed to install the necessary things like the kitchen, a fridge, and the water supply in the two houses.   Tomorrow morning two trucks from The Netherlands  are arriving with food and supplies. Chad thought the trucks were goi

Ukraine Update

Each day that passes by there is so much that is happening in Chad’s and Mary’s house. The people have a variety of needs in terms of what they are going to do and where they are going to. Chad and Mary had transports to the border to help some people get across the border. They are also looking for longer term care for those who can’t either get across the border.   Chad had also the opportunity to visit the warehouse today, where he is in awe of what God is doing. There’s been over a hundred points of locations where sprinter vans have gone. Even in some of the most difficult places there are volunteers that are taking smaller loads of food and supplies to the different points within the cities.    According to Chad it has been remarkable what God is doing, through those who are contributing back home and through the team that has been established in Ukraine. It has been mind-blowing how much food that they were able to buy, it has been over 120 tons of food.  There are refugees who
